Frequently Asked Questions

?Oil or Water Based Finish
Swedish, oil-based finish was the most durable option 10 years or so ago, but that is no longer the case. Commercial-grade water-based finish has been shown to last longer than oil-based/Swedish finish, and has the added bonus of being non-toxic. Using water-based finish allows you to stay in your home while the floors are being refinished and during the floor cure period. Bona product information:  Urethane (Water) and  Polyurethane (Oil)
